Saying goodbye to Flickr and hi to Chevereto

Since the beginning of my photography hobby, I was using Flickr to share and manage albums worthy of public attention. Like many products, Flickr couldn't stay afloat without charging its users. So I have said goodbye to it and have instead decided to use Chevereto. Still need some time to reorganize the pictures though.

I got my first DSLR camera back in 2010, the cheapest Canon that I could afford with the help of my brother. Ever since, I have been regularly using it, clicking pictures of my travels, family gatherings, events and even some planned photo-shoots. I did some crazy things too, like stood in front an oncoming train to take pictures – it was low risk, but then the train driver stopped the train and threatened to call the cops while passengers of the first few coaches stared at me with annoyance. Yep, rightly so.

Over the years I have upgraded my photography equipment with new lenses and a new advanced DSLR model.

Since the beginning of this hobby, I was using Flickr to share and manage my albums worthy of public attention. Like many products, Flickr couldn’t stay afloat without charging its users. So I have said goodbye to it and have instead decided to use Chevereto to self host these albums. I have just started setting it up here: https://fotu.guneetnarula.com. None of the photos are public yet – work in progress, stay tuned!
